Cooking made easy: Rice cookers

Coming from an Indian family, I am constantly eating rice. It seems to make its way into just about every meal that I eat. My grandmother prefers to use traditional methods of cooking her rice, like using a cooking pot on the stove, but you do not need to follow suit. One of my personal favourite kitchen appliances is the rice cooker. It is very simple and for somebody who is not exactly a master chef, it makes it nearly impossible to mess up. The instructions go no further than having you fill the cooker with water and then throwing in your rice when it gives you the green light.
