Beech Zen Master Meditation Stool Seiza Bench

This is a Zen Master Beech Hardwood seiza bench or meditation stool. It is made from sourced fully renewable resources. It is designed with a mortise and tenon joint, which which makes it stable and strong without the need of a stretcher. The tenon is raised slightly so that the wood can move slightly according to the season. This meditation stool/seiza bench allows you to either sit with your legs crossed in front of you, lotus style or seiza. The legs are curved at the base, which allows you to fine tune your posture. The Meditation Stool/Seiza bench, tucks in behind the top of your thighs. Essentially you don't sit on the bench but rest on it. This takes the weight off your knees and ankle joints - allowing you to feel as if you are floating. Sitting on a Meditation Stool / Seiza bench with its angled seat places your spine into an automatically improved position. Maintaining a straight posture is important in the practice of meditation.
